organization is dedicated to the building and strengthening of local
groups through the creation of learning opportunities, accessibility
to social and economic services, promotion of cultural preservation,
and strengthening of community based resource management. This dedication
is to the peoples and communities of all of Melanesia ,
where needs concerning conservation and community development are
apparent, and our vision and mission are as follows:

PROGRAM GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
COMPONENT
ONE: Conservation & Eco-Forestry

GOAL: To produce materials and conduct awareness on biodiversity conservation & sustainable forest management
OBJECTIVE 1: To produce material for awareness and education on conservation and eco-forestry within the next five years.
OBJECTIVE 2: To build consensus on conservation towards setting aside conservation blocks in the next fives
OBJECTIVE 3: To build consensus on sustainable forest management
GOAL: To build consensus and support on sustainable forest management towards locally owned eco-forestry project.
OBJECTIVE 1: To built community consensus and support towards establishing 20 locally owned eco-forestry projects in the next five years |
COMPONENT TWO: Consensus
building, awareness, edication, information and training

GOAL: To ensure there is prior informed consent on any community project/program or activity within the area
OBJECTIVE 1:
To facilitate awareness, education, and training for the whole area so that they are fully aware and trained to participant in the next five years
OBJECTIVE 2:
To identify and organize existing traditional structures to enable the consensus building process to proceed well in the next five years
OBJECTIVE 3:
To establish networking with relevant stakeholders including government agencies, donors, churches, etc with local communities for training and access to other resources |
COMPONENT
THREE: Eco-enterprise Support Program.

GOAL: To provide support for alternative income generating activities in the area
OBJECTIVE 1:
To identify and support 5 existing and 5 potential income generating activities in the next five years
OBJECTIVE 2:
To conduct a market study for existing and potential enterprises in the first year
OBJECTIVE 3:
To Conduct Training on business activities in the area
OBJECTIVE 4:
To establish and implement an enterprise support system for the area

FOUR: Appropriate Technology Support Program.

To conduct a Stakeholder consultation for appropriate technology needs to be implemented in the next five years
OBJECTIVE 2:
To conduct feasibility studies for appropriate technologies
OBJECTIVE 3:
To Train community members to maintain appropriate technology built for the communities on the area
