Manda River- Containing rare minerals & Gold
  • The Kesar-Manda Creek Prospect hosts a porphyry Copper-gold-molybdenum deposit with surrounding gold anomalous Guartz-Carbonate base metal vein mineralisation and anomalous skarn alteration and mineralisation.
  • In light of the opening of Bilimoia gold mine, just 10km due south west of the Kesar Manda Creek prospect area, the economic viability of the Kesar Manda project is encouraging. The full mining of the Kesar-Manda project would then be at a lower cost as it can then link up into the infrastructure already in place at the Bilimoia mine. Kesar-Manda Prospect sits in an area where excess northwards down into the Ramu plains to link up with the Gusap Meat Processing establishment and the Ramu Highway which would make it a cost-effective operation. execute a cost-effective project evaluation in three-phases—detail surface exploration, scout drilling and delineation drilling.
  • Gold Anomalous Carbonate Base Metal Vein
    c

  • This target is characterized by anomalous gold values from narrow quartz –carbonate metal veins. The sample locations and gold assay results are very high ranging from 1.0—30.43 ppm Au and averaging at 9.56 ppm Au. The veins are narrow and associated with phyllic alteration halos the thickness of which varies proportionally with vein thickness.

The veins trend east-west and dip variably to the north and north-east-south-west and dip to the south. The veins may have been formed as a result of ring fracturing. Interestingly the veins all dip toward the centre of the natural wall formed by the 12 mountains and out of which fresh mountain springs tumble down to form the Manda River before rolling out further into the mighty Ramu River and pouring out into the Ramu plains and onward down to the scenic coastal holiday town of Madang.

  • Gold Skarn Target

This target is confined to a wider area but signifies that gold anomalous samples concentration are reinforced by the gold assays. In addition the samples are confirmed by corresponding stream sediments. Further, visible gold samples were encountered in some pan samples. Thus the result confirm that the Konanke target area is very prospective for gold target mining.
