Manda Land Owners Brief History

They have had a tough time. They’ve learnt the hard way, are wiser and don’t want their simplicity taken advantage of ever again. They plan and believe in doing it—that is mining the gold they are sitting on their way—is better for everyone, including the outside partner they are looking for to assist them develop this mountain with running creek of gold then the fly-in fly-out exploitation! They believe working in close partnership and in beneficial participation is the key to developing this mineral resource.

The Manda people have a proven resource and are seeking a direct investment partnership arrangement that would give them a share-equity with an outside partner.

Organizational Structure
Manda Land Owners Brief History

  • When the last exploration companies ceased exploration in 1997 in the EL 1277 Area, the resource owners of the impact area waited for three years and formed the MANDA LANDOWNERS ASSOCIATION to pursue the possibility of developing their mineral resource. The MANDA Association certificate was approved by the Papua New Guinea Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) in August 2005, Registration N0: 5-2380.
  • After another two years, the Executives of the Manda Landowners engaged a private firm to conduct a geological research and presented them a final report in 2004 of the economic value of the prospect and its potential for development into a full-scale gold mine.
  • Manda Landowners then registered the MANDA Incorporated Land Group (ILG) Number: 10238 which identifies them as the legitimate owners to negotiate for the development of the area . The certificate was approved by the Papua New Guinea Lands Department.
  • They then registered a Landowner Company certificate with the Registration N0: 1-54332 which was issued by the Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) an authorized agency of the Papua New Guinea government.

The MANDA Resource Owners are now in a position to negotiate and engage potential investors as partners in developing the Kesar-Manda resource of gold,
other rare minerals and as well as natural resources like converting the mountain rivers into good drinking water and even the possibilities of developing mini-hydro power schemes. The water and energy drawn from the rivers and converted could be piped to supply the water and power needs of the mining bases and villages.
